Foundry Grill Assistant Manager

Description:

SUMMARY
Support and assist in the implication of policies and guidelines set up to ensure all guests receive outstanding service on a personal and professional level, creating an exceptional dining experience. To always lead the front of house employees to the next level of service and professionalism. Must exhibit remarkable personal skills and provide exceptional training and leadership skills in a casual and professional environment. Must oversee all aspects of dining room operations in absence of the Foundry Grill Manager.

Duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Works directly with Foundry Grill Manager on on-going procedures and policies focusing on improving the employees service and professionalism.

To insure proper sequence of service for all dining guests.

Insure the restaurant is clean, organized and restocked at all times.

Effectively manage and direct employees at all times.

Assist in scheduling and training employees.

Assist in the development or refinement of new and existing policies and procedures.

Exhibit job and product knowledge sufficient to provide guests with accurate information in all aspects of food, service, and resort information.

Must exhibit a positive attitude while speaking to guests, employees and management.

Interacts with at least 80% of guests during scheduled shift.

Displays a sense of pride and a good work ethic towards all aspects of the Foundry Grill operations.

Contributes to other F&B departments when needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the Foundry Grill. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current Food Handlers Permit
Current alcohol permit
