Description: | Our Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting in the overall planning, management, and execution of construction work for our high-end Montage resort in Deer Valley, Utah.
This APM will be managing the change order process, working directly with subcontractors and analyzing data. | Duties: | A. Pre-Construction
Essential
1. Assists in the preparation of estimates for the project.
2. Prepares project budgets and unit cost reports.
3. Leads the project team in preparing the Project Management Plan.
4. Participates in value engineering services as appropriate.
5. Organizes and holds pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
6. Participates in the successful negotiation and preparation of all project subcontracts.
7. Participates in obtaining permits and resolving other regulatory requirements as necessary.
8. Prepares a project schedule and develops milestones necessary to successfully complete the project in concert with the project Superintendent.
9. Obtains and reviews plans and specifications and determines their completeness and consistency.
| Qualifications: | Qualifications: Five years commercial and/or resort/hotel or high-end condo construction experience; must have experience with medium to large projects ($10 million plus); valid drivers license, ability to read blueprints; good understanding and knowledge of subcontractor¿s scopes of work and tolerances, demonstrated oral and written communications skills; ability to problem solve; team player; ability to multi-task; ability to perform light strength work.
Essential Computer Requirements: basic personal computer skills including Word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail.
Sure Track or Primavera or MS Project experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of primarily product/technical nature. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, and taste or smell, climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is outdoors where the employee is exposed to changing weather conditions. Employee will occasionally come into contact with air contamination such as dust, fumes, smoke, toxic conditions or disagreeable odors. Employee occasionally lifts or carries items and works above ground level where the possibility of falling exists. The noise level is loud.
TRAVEL
Employee will generally be assigned on a long-term basis to a job site, which could be in the Salt Lake City area or anywhere in the U.S. Occasional overnight travel by land and/or air away from the job site or other assigned duty location may be required.

Employee will work with the V.P. of Construction Operations, Project Manager, client, subcontractors, craft superintendents, general foreman/foremen, quality control, safety, craft employees, purchasing, and human resources.
