Description: | The individual in this position is responsible for the following:
| Duties: | • Expected to work accident-free and assist in helping others maintain the same
• Accountable for the quality of cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facility
• Accountable for the set up of machines and condition of chemical storage areas
• Responsible to develop ideas that will provide a continuous improvement of the sanitation process
• Expected to fulfill functions of sanitation including, but not limited to:
• Cleaning of production equipment
• Cleaning of facility ceilings, walls & floors
• Disassemble and re-assemble machines and systems
• Master cleaning schedule
• Helping with production
• Expected to maintain effective communication with other Team Members, Maintenance Personnel, Operations Team Leaders and Resource Personnel
• Expected to learn to use various tools in performing basic maintenance of equipment
• Other duties as assigned
| Qualifications: | Position Requirements:
• High School Diploma or G>E>D> requied.
•Expected to work accident-free and assist in helping others maintain the same
•Previous sanitation experience in a food processing facility (from a USDA or dairy plant desired but not necessary)
•Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions precisely
•Will use electric pallet jacks, forklifts and man lift (upon receiving proper training and certification as needed)
•Ability to document and communicate in a clear and effective manner
•Mechanically inclined. Basic math skills. Knowledge of computers and computer operated machinery desired
•Participation in company training programs
•Needs to be self-motivated, multi-tasking and able to work with little supervision in a fast paced diverse work environment
•Will work primarily on third shift, but may be rescheduled to other days and/or times depending on plant production schedules.
• Position requires exposure to chemicals and extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be able to effectively write and communicate in English.
