Summary of Remington & College Terraces business:
Remington Condominiums is a complex of 113 units. Built in 1996, Remington provides student housing to both married and single students. Remington condos are 2 bedroom 1 bathroom units rented with flexible semester or 12 month lease terms.
College Terrace Apartments is a complex of 60 units. Built in 1989, College Terrace has been providing student housing to UVSC students for almost 20 years. College Terrace apartments are 4 bedroom 2 bathroom units with 6 tenants per unit.
The two complexes are managed from one office and are owner-managed, providing fewer levels of management and quick response time.
Remington and College Terrace are sister properties owned by the same parent company to other fine properties such as Courtside and Greenbriar student condos in Orem, Remington and College Terrace Condominiums in North Salt Lake, Seven Peaks Water Park in Provo, and Trafalga Family Fun Center in Orem. As a growing company, we are continually looking to expand our rental properties, which will provide you with potential for growth within the company.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and responding to emails.
Preparing, processing, signing and maintaining all leases, rental applications, background verification forms, etc
Showing model apartments to prospective tenants
Collecting rents, fees, all delinquent balances, etc.
Coordinating all maintenance requests with the maintenance lead and communicate with tenants regarding maintenance needs
Maintaining tenant files in an orderly fashion
Updating and maintaining all required database information in YARDI computer software program
Handling all details related to unit move-ins and move-outs
Preparing reports for corporate office
Coordinating periodic community activities
Performing other related duties as assigned
Skills Requirements
High School education or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Strong working knowledge of common computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Able to communicate well both verbally and written.
Self motivated able to work with little or no supervision.
A criminal background verification will be run prior to an offer of employment.
Wage: $8.50 per hour
Hours
Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 6:00. Occasional Wednesdays until 8:00.
Because the complexes are student housing, the turnover from semester to semester usually requires additional hours be worked at the semester ends in April, August, and December. Personal time off is not able to be granted at these times, which includes the Christmas holiday.
