Description:

This position will join our Accounting and Finance team in our Provo office. We are looking for a candidate with strong Revenue Recognition experience and a good understanding of GAAP.

Duties:

•Prepare all reporting and analysis in regards to deferred revenue including roll-forward of the balance sheet and profit & loss activity
•Prepare and maintain month-end account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts as well as monthly bank reconciliations
•Analyze installation contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition compliance
•Maintain proper accounting for company’s accrued expenses
•Provide financial data to management and support for accounts to auditors
•Coordinate with Legal, Sales, Finance and other departments to ensure all sources of revenue are properly reviewed and processed for accounting purposes
•Provide monthly analysis of budget vs. actual for sales revenues, making sure that analyses tie into GAAP financial statements

Qualifications:

•BA/BS in Accounting
•CPA and/or MBA preferred
•Strong Working Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
•Experience with VSOE analysis in the software industry preferred
•Knowledge of revenue recognition rules with specific reference to SOP 97-2, SAB 104 and EITF 00-21 preferred
•Experience with system-based accounting systems is required; knowledge Great Plains is a plus
•Experience with an ERP system for a $50 million or above business
