Description:

The individual in this position is responsible to fulfill functions of the production process including, but not limited to:

Duties:

•Locate, understand, and follow the Process Instruction Sheets
•Ensure the safe operation of all tools and equipment related to proper start-up, operation, and shut-down of the particular machinery.
•Properly fill out and understand appropriate paperwork
•Perform proper quality checks in a timely matter
•Basic troubleshooting of normal operations, determine deviations, and take appropriate actions
•Basic maintenance of machines as required (cleaning, adjustments)
•Communicate problems to maintenance in a clear manner.
•Lead, train, guide and direct B-Technicians and temps in a timely and fair manner.
•Train back-ups.
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or G.E.D. required.
•Experience in operating food processing machines
•Knowledge of the Critical Control Point at the metal detectors and understand how it corresponds to the HACCP program
•Complete understanding of the color-coding system
•Practice proper GMP’s and good housekeeping
•Ability to accurately follow written and/or verbal instructions
•Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
•Ability to document and communicate in English
•Basic math and computer skills
•Work in a safe and effective manner
•Good interpersonal and communication skills working in a team environment
•Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written.
