Description: |
ThoughtLab is looking for a very smart (yet humble) programmer who gets excited about architecting & implementing robust, secure, maintainable applications. This person will be responsible for designing and implementing the behind-the-scenes functionality (that most people dont fully appreciate because they dont understand it) in a wide range of website and application types: i.e. custom configurators, e-commerce sites, content management systems, viral marketing sites, etc.
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving challenging problems, knows how to jump in and get things done and thrives in a collaborative team environment. Candidates will need to be able to show examples of their ability to write efficient stored procedures, modular & maintainable code, and exhibit an understanding of various application design patterns (only the good ones).

Duties: |
Implementing the Business Layers (Objects, Classes) & Data Layers (Stored Procedures, Triggers) of custom applications for clients
Designing and adapting data schemas
Writing secure web services
Being Cool & Nice to all mankind (fellow hard core programmers and GUI programmers alike)

Qualifications: |
2+ years professional .NET development experience in n-tier/SOA web solutions (can you say decoupled) and service oriented architectures
Must have excellent listening and communication skills
Must be quick learner
Must have strong knowledge of OOP, OOD, OLEDB & ODBC (and other acronyms starting with O) as well as the following:
C#.NET
XML & Web Services
MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL
Microsoft IIS
XAML a plus
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent experience
Microsoft .NET certifications a plus
