This position is a new position that will report to the MGL Manager of Process Engineering.
This new role will support the diagnostic lab in three areas; 1) Tracking and trending maintenance and calibration histories to identify improvement projects, 2) Working with cross-functional teams to manage improvement projects related to laboratory equipment and 3) having responsibility to manage user maintenance activities.
The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with the various lab automation and robotics platforms, with the Technical Development group, and with the Corporate Maintenance group to troubleshoot problems and implement improvements in lab equipment. In addition, the person will develop tools to monitor maintenance and calibration processes to ensure highest quality results and provide proactive interventions to reduce or eliminate process failures.

Duties: |
1) Implement and maintain a calibration and maintenance solution that allows trending of histories.
2) Manage user maintenance items
3) Manage maintenance activities on lab equipment not currently supported by corporate maintenance
4) Manage implementation of improvement projects
5) Support equipment installation and qualification activities
6) Update preventive maintenance and user maintenance procedures
7) Maintain maintenance parts lockers
8) Conduct maintenance activities as required

Qualifications: |
• 3-5 years experience with equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Previous experience with calibration and maintenance software.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
