Description: |
| This sales position oversees the sales and solicitation process of shippers and helps delegate and coordinate the daily load activities of those customers. The EXPERIENCED Freight Broker is responsible for prospecting, closing and maintaining a shipper base. This includes maintaining both volume and profitability on the customer end of the transaction. |
Duties: |
Primary Responsibilities:
• Makes daily calls to solicit freight from new customers
• Accurately books all load and shipment information into the system
• Oversees bid processes and spot quoting on all customer freight
• Tracks success of customers including margins, rates and lane activity
• Creates annual plan with monthly and weekly goals

Qualifications: |
• 1+ years experience in the Freight Brokerage industry
• Have a proven sales background
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with documented success
• Strong customer service skills
• Candidates must be aggressive, organized, and effective under pressure
• Excellent verbal communication skills face-to-face and over the phone
• Computer experience and ability to type at least 25 wpm
• Ability to solve problems is a must
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
