Overview
The Email Operations Lead is a key member of the Email Marketing Team, responsible for coordinating and producing email communications, implementing acquisition and retention strategies, and successfully growing the email marketing channel. This position works closely with the graphic design, product development, and email marketing teams to create highly effective emails, utilizing clear concise messaging, visually appealing layouts, and marketing the most relevant content to subscribers. The email operations lead will utilize email management systems and tools to create and execute mass email campaigns, track open, click, and delivery rates, and monitor subscription information.

General Responsibilities
•Coordinate and execute the planning, development and production of email marketing campaigns, including brand messaging, segmented and triggered campaigns, offer maximization, and delivery of our daily email sends.
•Analyze key sending variables (opens, clicks, unsubscribes, undeliverables, etc.) Address any significant variances and provide recommendations for improvements.
•Work closely with Email Management team on implementing segmentation and contact strategies.
•Work closely with graphic designers on email content, segmentation, and deal offerings. Ensuring best practices.
•Assist in writing effective creative briefs that include campaign objectives and strategic messaging plus manage creative process
•Effectively segment email sends to the proper customer segments
•Execute strategies that encourage proactive communication, and effective messaging of our value propositions and offers.
•Leverage the Analytics team to develop reports, build models, and maximize email acquisition/retention results. Delivering the most relevant deals/content, landing pages, and maximizing revenue.
•Meet established testing and delivery deadlines
•Incorporate A/B testing methodologies within email sends
•Monitor and improve email efficiency, including relevant business metrics, ongoing customer communication, and optimization.
•Ensure compliance with can-spam regulations.
| Qualifications: | | Requirements
•A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related major
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, customer relationship management and email campaign management programs (ExactTarget, Constant Contact, etc).
•Familiar with online marketing performance metrics, and email marketing metrics
•Strong writing, presentation and interpersonal skills are required for this position.
•Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with design, product marketing and other online marketing departments.
•Understanding and working knowledge of HTML
•Must be deadline-oriented and ensure timely delivery of email execution
•Excellent problem solving skills, detail-oriented, self-driven with the ability to manage workflow
•Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and priorities
•A proven track record that demonstrates creativity, flexibility and an inquisitive nature with the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels
•Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communications skills
Preferences
•1-3 years email marketing and/or online marketing experience
•1-3 years of experience with ExactTarget platform
•Budget, Revenue and ROI management experience
•Experience with lead generation and/or related marketing
•Prior experience with Ecommerce and the metrics of Ecommerce
•Prior experience with ExactTarget, or related email management software
