Job Description
Messer Construction Co., a $650 million year revenue construction firm, is currently seeking a Strategic Marketing Leader to develop and lead our company wide Marketing initiatives. This position will be responsible for supporting our corporate and regional offices. As a Strategic Marketing Leader, you will work with and report to the Communications and Marketing Vice President.

Duties:

You will have a variety of responsibilities including:

•§ Directly supervising and coaching employees in our growing Corporate Communications Department, including hiring, training, conducting annual reviews, assigning and directing staffs\' work.

•§ Contribute to the marketing efforts pertaining to brand, brand positioning, and brand strategy.

•§ Ensure the company adheres to branding guidelines and standards.

•§ Work directly with department VP to determine strategic marketing direction and determine plan/tools to result in business building results, via web, media, etc.

•§ Manage our external communications via website/content, print collateral and public relations activities.

•§ Authorize information for publication consumption such as key message/ executive preparation for interviews, articles, photos and company stats.

•§ Works with Regional Vice Presidents to prepare and execute annual strategic marketing/communications plans (ie PR, advertising, promotions, brand building and lead generation plans) for each region.

•§ Develop and execute strategic marketing programs that meet business objectives.

•§ Develop, execute and coach managers on internal communication plans to clearly communicate the company\'s vision and business priorities.

•§ Responsible for being an expert on local, regional and national industry and marketing trends.

•§ Determines ROI on marketing strategies and investments.

•§ Develops and grows new and existing media relationships.

Qualifications:

For consideration, candidates must possess the following:

•§ 4 year degree in Marketing or related field. MBA highly preferred.

•§ 10 yrs of marketing experience, at least 3 years in a Senior Management position.

•§ Knowledgeable in leading market research and brand development

•§ Prior experience in public relations developing and leading PR activities and campaigns

•§ Experience in web design and content management

•§ Ability to think strategically and implement corporate initiatives

•§ Professional history including demonstrated knowledge and ability to plan, develop, and implement strategic internal and external communications programs using a variety of media including print, web, television, radio or other marketing communication tools.

•§ Exceptional written, oral, and strategic communication/presentation skills, strong analytical skills and the ability to develop and implement strategy, work plans and handle multiple projects simultaneously, particularly related to methods and creative ideas for improving internal and external communications.

•§ Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, with an understanding on how to work effectively with external vendors, manage and lead projects involving cross-functional teams and excellent interpersonal skills.

•§ Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, set priorities, demonstrate initiative and follow through.

•§ Must be a proven leader with established business results and coaching others.

•§ Ability to work with a team; focus on the big picture yet values details.
