Under the general direction of the Pool Manager, serves as a lifeguard at the community pool.

Duties: |
| Prevents accidents through the enforcement of policies, rules, regulations and ordinances governing the conduct of persons at the pool. Enters the water to rescue people in distress; resuscitates rescued swimmers, helps administer first aid to the injured and assists the supervisor during all emergencies. Assumes responsibillity for issuance and receipt of all pool equipment. Completes other tasks assigned by the pool manager. |
Qualifications: |
| Must be 16 years or older, unless approved by the Aquatics Director. Lifeguard training, CPR and First Aid Certificates are needed. Must pass swimming tests administered by Inservice and Training Director. |
